  • 1 can (15 oz) Kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) Black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) Cannellini (white) beans, rinsed and drained
  • The Base & Spices:
  • 1 can (28 oz) Crushed or fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 1 cup Low-sodium chicken or bone broth
  • 2 tbsp Chili powder

    Sauté the Aromatics: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large pot. Sauté onion, carrots, and bell pepper for 5 minutes until soft.

    Brown the Turkey: Add the ground turkey. Break it up with a spoon and cook until no pink remains.

    Bloom the Spices (The "Expert" Step): Clear a small circle in the middle of the pot. Add your chili powder, cumin, and paprika directly to the hot surface for 60 seconds until fragrant before stirring into the meat. This "blooms" the oils in the spices for a richer flavor.
